inges idee created two sculptures for the Towada Art Square. The first, the towering Ghost, floats gayly beside a restroom window. The second is Unknown Mass, which droops over the bathroom’s large windows as if trying to peer inside.
Though amorphous at first glance, each work has two black holes for eyes, which inform the viewer that these artworks are indeed ghostly. The scale and mechanism of both pieces create a unique, integrated architectural space that surprises visitors.
