Event Details

The Towada Art Center celebrated its 30,000th visitor to the Towada Art Center 10th Anniversary Exhibition Do Ho Suh: Passage/s on Wednesday, August 1.

The lucky visitors were welcomed by Komamatsu-kun and Kozakura-chan, two Towada City mascot characters who came to the museum to celebrate the occasion.

The 30,000th visitor was actually a couple from Saitama Prefecture who said they were traveling across the Tohoku region to visit Aomori, Iwate, and Miyagi, and that the museum was their first stop. They said that it felt like fate, finally getting to visit the Towada Art Center only to be the 30,000th visitors.

To commemorate the occasion, the museum congratulated the couple with a brandy cake as well as an exhibition catalog and complimentary tickets to visit the Towada Art Center again in the future.

The Towada Art Center would like to express its gratitude to everyone who has visited the museum throughout Do Ho Suh: Passage/s.
