Open Music Square invites Towada locals to bring their music to the Towada Art Center once a month.
Day 2 welcomes the dancers of Tomo Uwano’s Hiragi Dance & Ballet studio.
In addition to their many performances, Hiragi Dance & Ballet holds lessons across Towada, Misawa, Oirase, and Shichinohe that cover contemporary and modern dance, as well as ballet and butoh.
Please join us to celebrate these dancers in their wide range of bodily expression that moves across and beyond all kinds of dance.

Tomo Uwano’s Hiragi Dance & Ballet studio, which holds lessons across Towada, Misawa, Oirase, and Shichinohe that cover contemporary and modern dance, as well as ballet and butoh, came to Towada Art Center and performed a total of eight pieces.
Many visitors were drawn into the full body expressions presented during each piece, in particular when a witch entered with a poisoned apple and passed it around the audience, and again during the climax of the finale.
