POCORART (Place of Core + Relation Art)

Oct 4th, 2014 - Oct 19th

An exhibition of artworks selected from the 4,820 pieces contributed to four previous nationwide open calls for art.

POCORART (Place of Core + Relation Art), which won popularity at 3331 Arts Chiyoda, will tour Aomori, Akita, and Kochi from October 2014 to January 2015.
The Towada Art Center is one of two places in Tohoku where these masterpieces of POCORART are on view, a selection of 54 artists chosen from the 2,292 artists and 4,820 pieces collected in a national public offering held by 3331 Arts Chiyoda since its inception in 2010.

About the Nationwide Open Call for POCORART
3331 Arts Chiyoda brings people together through a range of activities that encourage dialogue that transcends disability, experience, and age. The nationwide open call for POCORART has connected people to one another, to art, and to a variety of sensibilities. It has aimed to foster questions concerning both art and humanity.

The nationwide open call for POCORART began in 2010 as a project between Chiyoda City Office and 3331 Arts Chiyoda in support of people with disabilities.
